This Bird walk was great. Ranger Gerle from West Meadow Beach took us on it. We saw:

Memorable Moments
Me and Pat, another birdwatcher, heard a bird calling while waiting for a horned grebe to come back up. Then a white speck appeared on the other side. It was a belted Kingfisher!
Great Egret
We thought we saw it once, and then we really saw it. What is so amazing? They are supposed to be migrating!
Great Blue Heron Tracks
I saw them but didn't know what they were. I took a picture (blogger doesn't want me to upload it) and researched it at home. They were Great Blue Heron Tracks.
